Do Not Waste Your Life

Worldly Life is measured in time, in seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades etc and every single person on the planet has the same amount of time available to them within a 24-hour clock. The clock of your life however, cannot be accurately measured, except retrospectively when the clock stops, as there is not a single soul alive who can guarantee another moment in time, beyond this present moment of now.

Life is a journey from birth to death, with no guarantees of a tomorrow, and our experience of life is lived between these two parameters D.O.B: Date of Birth and                  D.O.D: Date of Death. How we spend our time in any moment between our D.O.B and our D.O.D is an individual choice, which for the most part, is made by default habitual patterns of behaviour, rather than conscious intention. The message given by Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba above, is a warning to us, of the dangers of missing our soul’s purpose in this lifetime. Baba invites us to awaken to the absolute truth, that we are all Divine Embodiments of Love, (His Premaswaroopulara) temporarily paying rent in the physical body, on our homeward journey to Sai.

In our world today, there is no limit to the distractions and diversions available to steal our time away, and if we fail to make conscious choices in how we allocate our time, life can fly past from the cradle to the grave without our direct engagement and conscious choice. To stop the clock, is to enter into the present moment where we can experience Baba’s divine presence within us, in any moment.

Silence is one of the most powerful tools to help us enter into the eternal moment of now, where we can hear the voice of God. Language engages the mind and can be so powerful in seducing us into focusing on everything that doesn’t matter, while missing the true goal in this game of life. Baba advises single pointed focus to help us tune into a state of beingness and step out of the noise of the fairground attractions of life played out in incessant doingness.

Baba is with us to guide us in every moment, to help us turn away from the time and energy thieves who rob us of our joyful presence. In focusing on Baba in any moment, we increase our faith and trust in His Will, His schedule, and His control over any and all circumstances of our lives. Through the most simple prayerful practice of Namasmarana , (constantly repeating  the name of God e.g ‘Om Sai Ram’, we can amplify His Divine presence in us, and fortify our faith and surrender, to His Divine Plan for our lives.
